“Wisdom of the Radish” Book Cover

Last year one of my past brides, Lynda Hopkins, asked me to photograph her for the cover of her first book, The Wisdom of the Radish. You might remember Lynda and Emmett from their fabulous farm wedding and engagement session.

Can you imagine writing a book? What an amazing endeavor! The Wisdom of the Radish is Lynda’s account of the experience of running a farm with Emmett. You can read more about her book and their life at Foggy River Farm on their blog. It’s so nice to see one of my photos on the cover of a book. Big congrats to Lynda on her wonderful book!

Melanie & Michael: Oakland Portrait Session

Melanie and Michael braved the cold January weather for their portrait session set in Oakland. Would you believe this setting is actually the top of a parking garage? What a sweet little park contrasting with office buildings to create a blend of architecture and nature. Melanie and Michael love to laugh and you can see that they have so much fun together. I even had them show me how they dance the tango.

Bridal Fashion Shoot: Flair and San Francisco City Club

Recently I met Dorothea from the amazing Flair boutique over on Polk Street here in SF. Flair specializes in modern, simple and classic dresses for brides, bridesmaids, special occasions and flower girls. We put together a vintage glam photo shoot at the classic San Francisco City Club with hair by Jaclyn Jean and makeup by Bara K. You might remember Colleen from her bridal session that I shot at the Hotel Monaco. Our beautiful makeup artist, Bara, stepped in as a model when our other model couldn’t make it.
