Ray and I are so excited! Today we have the honor of photographing Vanessa and Mike’s wedding at the chic Hotel Vitale here in San Francisco. Vanessa and Mike are the winners of the 2010 San Francisco Dream Wedding Giveaway! Vanessa and Mike met in the Air Force and have had to endure many challenges from living thousands of miles apart to Vanessa’s diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. We are so happy to take part in the giveaway and make Vanessa and Mike’s wedding day dream come true.
Here’s a quick peek at Vanessa and Mike at their rehearsal dinner last night at 1 Fort Mason.

Lynda and Emmett are two young farmers in love. They own Foggy River Farm in Healdsburg, where they grow organic vegetables and raise goats, sheep, and chickens. Lynda is currently writing a book called “Farming 101″ which chronicles their first year of farming together. When they suggested their farm as the location for their engagement session, I was so excited! Being around all of the animals was even better than I imagined. I am most definitely a city girl, and I don’t think I’ve seen any goats since the petting zoo days of my childhood. Talk about cute overload! But really my favorite part of the whole session was seeing Lynda and Emmett be themselves at home on their farm. Farming is truly magical to me, that you can start from seeds and with love and care, you end up with glorious veggies. Stay tuned for Lynda and Emmett’s wedding on their farm, which we just photographed last Saturday.
Also, big thanks to Melissa at The Loveliest Day for featuring Lynda and Emmett’s engagement session!

I’d like to think that I clicked with Jen and Jason right away. Sometimes you feel like you’ve known some people forever and that’s definitely the case with Jen and Jason. I always laugh so much with these two and if you know me, laughing is one of my favorite activities in the world. :) Jen and Jason were married in Palo Alto with their reception at the gorgeous Palo Alto Women’s Club. Of course we had to stop by Stanford for portraits. Ray and I had so much fun photographing this wedding, especially the reception since Jen and Jason’s family and friends know how to get down and have fun. Congrats to Jen and Jason!

There’s nothing that makes me happier than seeing a couple who loves to have fun together. And Erika and Will have the most amazing times together. They were up for anything during their engagement session. We started off in Golden Gate Park where the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Cherry blossoms are so inherently romantic and magical. Then we headed off to the Marin Headlands and Rodeo Beach. Kudos to Erika and Will for braving the cold and hanging in there like troopers during our time at the beach. We can’t wait for their wedding in June!

I was lucky enough to meet Ruby and Ernie a few months ago when they were visiting SF from Hong Kong. They’re both incredibly smart and so sweet, and it was fun sharing SF and the Marin Headlands with them. I love meeting people from other countries and learning more about their lives in their countries.

Lauren and Tim were married at the gorgeous Silverado Resort in Napa. A sudden rain storm the night before almost spelled doom for this beautiful outdoor wedding, but luckily the sun made an appearance and the outdoor wedding went on as planned. Lauren and Tim’s family know how to party, their reception was epic! Congrats to Lauren and Tim, two of our amazing clients. :)
