Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara are some of my favorite wedding regions in California. I wanted to share some Sunstone Winery wedding photos inspiration. Recently I was able to photograph an editorial photo shoot in Santa Ynez.
The bride wore a bright pink Oscar de la Renta ballgown. The dress was reminiscent of the ballgown worn by Marilyn Monroe in the 1950s film, Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
The tablescape had a romantic flair and made wonderful use of a pale pink pastel color palette. There was a large floral arrangement that was composed of David Austin roses tightly grouped together. The garden roses ranged from yellow to pink. The flatware was gold. The very unique seating were round and ruffled poof chairs. Long tapered candles in various shades of pink were lit to give off a romantic glow. The gilt napkin holders were shaped like olive leaves. There are beautiful olive trees on the property of Sunstone Winery and Villa so this was appropriate. The plates were rimmed in gold as well.
The cake featured a clean and modern design. Large sugar flowers in pink and yellow were artistically placed upon the cake. Delicate green leaves were painted on the cake’s surface using a watercolor technique.
The pink wedding invitation suite featured a romantic garden rose theme. There was a lace-like texture framing the invites.>
