Stephanie and Kevin were married at the San Francisco Zoo. Anyone who has their wedding at the zoo is ultra creative and definitely wants to give their family and friends an amazing and different experience at their wedding. Stephanie and Kevin have the best sense of humor, and love to have fun. One great aspect of getting married at the zoo is that there’s lots of interaction with the animals there! After their ceremony, Stephanie and Kevin fed the giraffes at the zoo, then their guests had a chance to do the same. We were so excited to work again with the amazing Creative Events by Ashley. Ashley is simply one of the talented planners we have ever worked with, she truly is the best! Congrats to Stephanie and Kevin!

Jenny and Aaron are both incredibly artistic, talented, and creative (and nice people too). Jenny is a pop artist, and Aaron is an audio engineer and musician. We started their engagement session at their gorgeous mid-century styled home, then headed out to a BART station and the warehouse district in Oakland. How cute are Jenny and AAron’s dogs, Pricilla and Elvis? I wish I could put them in my bag and take them home with me. As much as I love shooting in San Francisco, Oakland has some great locations and it’s fun to do something different. We’re so excited about their wedding on Saturday!

People often ask us about the quirkiest wedding venues we’ve photographed, and our hands down favorite is the San Francisco Zoo. Where else can you get married on the African Savannah with zebras and giraffes? Ariel and Aron had an epic zoo wedding complete with a baby alligator and lots of other cuddly creatures making an appearance during the cocktail hour, and guests were treated to a ride on the carousel.
Having a fun and unique wedding was really important to Ariel and Aron. They love to dance, contra dancing was a big part of the reception. Contra dancing is form of line dancing. Most of the guests had no idea how to dance this way, but the dance caller provided instruction, and everyone was dancing in minutes, and having an amazing time. Congrats to Ariel and Aron!
