This next wedding was one of our faves of all time because this couple has such amazing energy and love for each other. You could say that the entire day was dripping with love! I went home beaming after this one. :) Jeni and Mike are such a sweet and energetic couple, you can’t help enjoying yourself when you spend time with these two.
Jeni and Mike were married at the stunning Casa Real in Pleasanton this past April. Jeni is an amazing graphic designer, so of course she designed all of the fabulous graphical details for their wedding, from the programs to the table cards.
There were so many amazing moments to capture, like when Mike’s dad gave a special momento handed down from his dad, Mike’s grandpa who had passed away. His grandpa, Donald Gardner, wrote the song “All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth”. While we were outside shooting formal portraits, Mike’s dad gave him a specially engraved money clip that was given to Mike’s grandpa from RCA Records following the phenomenal success of that song. Mike and his dad had a wonderful moment and I was glad to have a chance to document that. Here’s a wonderful video with Mr. Donald Gardner retelling the story behind this famous song.
