We love getting together with our clients for their engagement sessions. It’s a nice way for us to get to know each other better, and it makes our couples feel more comfortable in front of the camera on their wedding day. We had a great time with Allison and Jay during their engagement session in San Francisco and the gorgeous Marin Headlands. The headlands are a special place for Allison and Jay since they love spending time together hiking. The headlands are such a nice combination of nature and rustic textures from the old bunkers.
Stay tuned for Allison and Jay’s wedding which we shot just a few weeks ago.

You may remember Chenin and Nick from their fabulous NYC engagement session. They were married at the beautiful Landmark Art & Garden Center in Tiburon and a reception at the Corinthian Yacht Club. The best way for me to describe their wedding was relaxed elegance, from the khaki colored suits for the guys, the ocean theme with seashells mixed with flowers, everything had a light, clean, elegant feel. Nicole Ancelovici-Lenihan did an amazing job planning the wedding. The amazing Nancy Liu Chin worked her magic with her floral design.
Rabbi Charles Familant really set the tone for the entire day with his ceremony. He told the story of a man who is lost in a forest. He runs into a woman who is also lost and can’t find her way out. They realize that they can only find their way by staying together, which is a nice metaphor for the journey that Chenin and Nick are starting in their lives. It’s also a great reminder for the rest of married folks — that we have to work together with our partner.
People often ask us where our favorite weddings have been. But I always tell people, it’s not about the venue, it’s about the people — the family and friends are what truly make a wedding spectacular. And this was definitely the case at Chenin and Nick’s wedding.
